KING HIT - BAND

A new noise in the scene, King Hit is a Pōneke-based four piece melding the abrasiveness of shoe-gaze and punch of hardcore with the melancholy of Midwest-emo. Originally conceived as a three-piece by principal songwriter, guitarist and frontman Stefan Jenkins, King Hit cut their teeth in the Wellington underground scene for the first half of 2025 before adding Caitlin Gabb on guitar and vocals, joining bassist Felix Bird and drummer Sebastian Bell as architects of the band’s formidable wall of noise.

King Hit are ecstatic with the release of their ethereal second single ‘sap’, which harmonizes the contrast between abrasiveness and softness (Fabrizio Lusso, WHITE LIGHT // WHITE HEAT). It has already been making a dent, with it debuting at number 1 on the SRN charts, and remaining there for 3 weeks!
